Spacious house (1930's) with private garden in UNESCO world heritage site

Despite the coronavirus crisis, and under the condition that things do not get worse again, we are open for suggestions for the summer of 2021.

Our house was built in the 1930's and has a private and walled 240m² city garden. Besides five bedrooms and two bathrooms, there is a second living room (also TV and play room) on the second floor with a view on the terraced houses on the other side of the street.

We live around the corner of the Donkey Gate (built in 1369) in a green and lovely neighbourhood.
At the end of the street is a park with playground and a place to relax with a drink: a Summer pub ran by local young people (children of our neighbours).

We are used to take good care of our own home and we will take very good care of yours!
We love to help our guests plan their stay in Bruges and have lots of information ready (thanks to a friend in the Tourism office). We can offer suggestions for city trips, nice beaches, outings with small children, etc.

From our house, you can walk to the main square in under 15 minutes or you can bike to the beach in just one hour! You can do 'The gates walk', starting from our front door (city gates, great parks, windmills and the famous swans). During the summer, there are all sorts of free street theatre shows and a free circus festival. You can go for a canal boat tour or a hourse and carriage tour or just use a bike as lots of the other people in Bruges do. We also recommend a visit to Damme, Sluis (two villages nearby, Sluis is just over the Dutch border).

For a good impression for what you can find around Bruges you can look at:

For children there is: a dolphinarium, a sea life center, some great play grouds and of course our coast, reachable by bus (25 minutes) or by train if you prefer public transport to avoid parking problems. The bus to the coast stops just around our corner. The city's of Ghent, Antwerp, Brussels, Amsterdam and Paris are also easily reachable by train.
