House in 2e Exloërmond, Netherlands

We built our Wheelchair friendly house in oct. 2011. We have 1300m2 ground for playing for the kids and for the dog. The garden also has a family trampoline.
Our Home is a very modern and wheelchair friendly. Everthing you need in a modern house you can find here.
Of course we have a modern kitchen with all the equipment you need.
There are many children in the village of different ages.
2km from our home there is a little forest and a lake for angling, at 5km is a swimming pool, a big ZOO at 15km. Fortress Bourtange 20km.15 km from the German border
We live in the province Drenthe, the most beautiful district of the Netherlands. Well known for its forests and typical dolmens, sheep, wooden shoes, mills and other historical and cultural things.
Swimming, angling, biking and shopping are keywords but of course horse riding, sailing and golf are also possibilities
Years ago we exchanged homes for several years and now we want to do it again. We will treat your house as carefully as if it was our own.

Welcome to the year 1742
Near the German border, in the beautiful Westerwolde (Southeast Groningen), is the fortress Bourtange. A unique historic fortification that has no equal. Present and past go perfectly together in this small, cosy fortress town.
In 1580 William of Orange gave the order to build a fort on the sand ridge in the Bourtanger moor, on the border of modern Germany. On the order of William Louis of Nassau the fortress was raised in 1593.* Between 1593 and 1851 Bourtange was an important fortress. An agrarian village came into being when the fortress was dismantled in 1851. Only a few buildings still remembered the glory of yesteryear. In the nineteen sixties** the county of Vlagtwedde took the initiative to reconstruct the fortress. The plan was implemented between 1967 and 1992. Ramparts were again raised, ditches were dug and soldiers’ barracks were built. Visitors of present day Bourtange believe themselves to be back centuries in time. Meet the fortress which has never been taken ... Maybe we’ll see you in the year 1742!
