A cosy Colonies home close to the city centre
Beautiful home in Abbeyhill Colonies. Colonies were built all over Edinburgh in the 1880s and are identifiable by the staircase access to the upper homes, private gardens, and their parallel streets which make a special community.
My home has two double bedrooms upstairs, one with views of Arthur's Seat, which is the iconic hill in Holyrood Park which is a ten-minute walk away. Downstairs there is a kitchen, a dining room and a lounge. The shower room is also downstairs on the lower floor.
Please note. Access is via stairs outside and there are also stairs inside up to the bedrooms. For this reason, my home may not be suitable for young children or visitors with mobility issues.
I also have a small private garden with table and chairs.
Princes Street and Waverley Station are a twenty-minute walk from here and there are multiple buses to connect you with the centre and transport to the airport.
There are lots of local shops in Easter Road as well as Meadowbank retail park, both of which are five minutes away on foot.
There is no free parking during the day and a car is not advisable in the city.
I'm mainly looking for exchanges in the UK and Ireland for long weekends, the Easter holidays and the summer.
Europe is also on my wish-list but not the Mediterranean in summer as it's too hot for me.
