Francavilla al Mare, Italy

“Buongiorno a tutti!” (= hello everybody!).

Our apartment is situated at the third floor of a new building in a quiet and pleasant neighbourhood of Francavilla a Mare (Pescara) very close to Adriatic Sea.

It has got a living room with a daybed, a full-optional kitchen (dishwasher, traditional & electric oven), dining room with all facilities (LCD television, home cinéma & Hifi), a little hall with castle-bed, two bedrooms, a little bathroom and finally a long balcony running all around the apartment. You can accommodate eight people with no trouble. The sea’s closeness grants a mitigated weather but we have got air conditioning and air ventilators too.

The apartment is very well-equipped and even if we have no view on the sea, it’s delightful & comfortable for holidays. You will like it (as all our former Intervac partners did), no doubt about that!

Francavilla is first of all an enjoyable place for its possibilities of shopping and amusements: in summer climate is lovely and beach is very near, we allow you to use our sun umbrella, rented for all the summer season, in a private beach. You can get there on foot, it takes only a few minutes.

Very close by is Pescara, a rich & pleasant city, well-known for being Gabriele D’Annunzio’s birthplace (Italian 20th-century writer), important for maritime tracks and commercial routes through the Mediterranean Sea. If you give a look at the map of the region, you will notice many little places on the coast (Montesilvano, Silvi Marina, Giulianova, Alba Adriatica…) and towards the Appennino (Scanno, Lanciano, Penne, Atri Pineto, etc.).

Italy is a treasure chest to be discovered by traveling through the paths you find on the way: every place keeps a piece of our history, a fragment of our secular culture. If you like mountain landscapes you can visit the characteristic villages and towns situated all around the “Gran Sasso” and “Maiella”, two mounts of the Appennino Abruzzese.

There’re so many places to visit, such as Roccaraso, Rivisondoli, Pescasseroli, Campo di Giove: they're all so much popular for summer & winter holidays, for the ski-tourism, excursions, free-climbing…In the area you find the Parco Nazionale degli Abruzzi too, the largest green area in the nation.

Above all, you can have the opportunity to visit Rome, our beloved capital, maybe the most famous city in the world! It takes two hours if you go by car, taking the direct highway Pescara-Roma (A24). Or you can even go there by bus from Pescara Piazzale Roma, leading to Roma Tiburtina Station in roughly three hours.
