House in Leuven, Belgium
We are a young family of four who love to travel. We are open for all offers during school holidays and (long) weekends, so don't hesitate to contact us.
Our house is in a quiet street in Leuven, a small and cozy university town in the centre of Belgium near Brussels. It's a recently renovated 3-storey house with 3 bedrooms (3 double beds and 1 single bed).
We are also open to a car exchange. Our car is a mini countryman.

Our home is in the center of Leuven. Central Leuven is easilly covered on foot. It's heart is the "Grote Markt" with the gothic city hall and cathedral. Immediately behind it you can find the "Oude Markt", also called the world's biggest bar, which transforms into one big open-air terrace on sunny days. Leuven is Belgium's oldest university town and also the "beer-capital". You find also the cobblestoned " Groot Begijnhof", a Unesco World Heritage site in our city center.
Leuven is a very lively city. Culture and art are everywhere, worth a visit is the new "Museum M" (www.mleuven.be)
The first four fridays of July there are free music-concerts at diverse locations ("Het groot verlof").
Leuven is only 25 km from Brussels (22 min by train) and the hilly Ardennes are just around the corner. Other places in Belgium are easy to reach from here (by car or by train):
- Antwerp: 50 km - 45 min by train
- Brugge: 130 km - 1h25 by train
- Gent: 118 km - 1h by train
- Ieper with flanders fields (battlefields of WWI): 155 km
- Namur: 60 km
- La Roche: 60 km
- Spa: 117 km
Leuven is also in the hearth of Europe so some big European cities are only a few hours away (by train (Thalys, Eurostar) or car):

The family is very nice. The photos reflect exactly how the house is. Besides, from the house, you can walk to the city center very quickly. In any case, there are many buses that are very punctual.
Die Kommunikation mit Hans war sehr unkompliziert und er ist sehr hilfsbereit. Da wir das Parksystem in Leuven nicht aktivieren konnten (Österreich ist dort nicht vorgesehen) hat Hans das täglich für uns gemacht; sehr nett!! Das Haus ist genau wie auf Intervac beschrieben, es ist sehr gemütlich und da wir gerne kochen waren wir von der großen modernen Küche sehr begeistert. Einen Tausch mit Hans mit Familie können wir sehr empfehlen und Leuven ist eine tolle Universitätsstadt mit sehr viel Angebot und ein sehr guter Ausgangspunkt um Flandern zu besichtigen.
