Krakauschatten, Oostenrijk

Dear friends of Intervac!
We are a family of 7 persons , but all of them are adults.  Gertrud (Psychotherapist, 75), Ernst (eventmanager,77).
Our children live in Vienna, Graz and in Dürnkrut, near to Slowakia. All 5 children have partners and we have 4 grandchilds.
We have a lot of positiv experiences with exchanging houses in dfferent european countries.

If you would like to spend your holiday in the mountains we can offer our house in KRAKAUSCHATTEN in a lovely valley with the most sunny days in Austria in ca. 1250m/s. Look at the plan and some of the fotos.                                                          
The house has 3 floors with 3 bedrooms for 8 persons and a large cultural and natural surrounding.There are a lot of high mountains, f.e. the "Preber" with 2740m/S. and many possibilities for walking at signed pathes or for hiking.You can visit nice, romantic villages and little towns nearby, also romantic lakes, where you also can swim in summer. in the woods you can collect mushrooms and blueberries. In winter you have a lot of possibilties to skiing in the region.

The house was buildt 2008 with best and modern technic of buildings and furnitures: There is a automaticle solar-pellets heating, a wellnes cellar with Infraredcabin, sauna and whirlpool. You have a nice kitchen and a large livingroom, three toilets an two bathrooms. At the two balconies and the two terraces with tables and chairs you can admire the wonderful natural scene around.

In the wintertime you have possibilities for skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and ice skating in different ski regions (Kreischberg, Katschberg, Mauterndorf, Turracherhöhe, Lachtal, Obertauern,... AND nearby Krakauebene).
In summertime the wonderful mountains invites you for hiking, walking and biking. If you like to swim you can go to natural lakes (Schattensee, Prebersee and Krakaudorf Badeteich) for cooling down.

Also you can visit the two beautiful towns Graz (distance by car 157 km) and Salzburg (distance by car 151 km).

In 2003 Graz has been the cultural capital of Europe. In Graz you can find  a lot of lovely places, also modern buildings  and a lot of lovely gardens and parks. In summer and autumne there are many events in the streets and places in the center with theatres and possibilties to hear music gruops. A lot of sightseeing-places in Graz and around of Graz wait to be visited and there are possibilities for swimming, climbing, walking and hiking, golf, water-skiing, shopping and so on. In the east of Styria you have 5 wellnescenters with medical importand warm springs. Or you can visit the famous stud "Piber" with white horses "Lippizaner". 

Salzburg is the hometown of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and in the summer it is famous for a lot of cultural highlights. There you also can visit "die Festung Hohensalzburg" (castle), "Hellbrunn" (castle and zoo), several museums for history and art and a lot of beautiful gardens.

We exchange our house in Krakauschatten at the same time or at different times. We are looking forward for fascinating exchanges with you!
