Detached house in Tavistock DEVON -a historic market town near Dartmoor National Park
Our detached family home is modern and open plan downstairs, with 2 double and 2 single bedrooms upstairs. We have a conservatory with decked sitting area and grass garden. The main bedroom is en-suite and there is a modern family bathroom with jacuzzi bath and waterfall shower.
It is in a cul-de-sac with a play park nearby and 5 minutes walk down hill to the town centre. Tavistock is a beautiful historic market town on the edge of Dartmoor National Park and has many local shops, restaurants and a fun pool. 30 minutes drive to the nearest city Plymouth and the sea.
We have two cats and a hamster that live with us - they will need food and water during your stay.

Tavistock is a historic market and stannary town. It has a wide range of shops selling quality local produce. There is an indoor market and a farmers market held in the main square most weekends. The town is on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, which is a wonderful place to explore.

Couple in our fifties- our 2 grown up daughters may come with us
I am a Paramedic and I enjoy most outdoor activities. There are good off road cycle trails from Tavistock that are safe for families. There are also more adventurous mountain bike routes. My wife Elizabeth is a teaching assistant who loves music, reading and baking. There is a small cinema, theatre and music venue in Tavistock called ‘The Wharf’ with many interesting shows. Our daughter’s Samantha and Wren love the play park that is 15 seconds from our front door. There are swings, climbing frames a football area and basketball court. They also enjoy swimming in ‘Meadow Lands’ fun pool. For a treat they go horse riding in the Dartmoor National Park (15 min drive away).
