5 Star Accomodation 20 minutes from downtown Toronto and 45 minutes from Niagara Falls
We are looking for house exchange partners exchange with our home in Canada or our home in Croatia.
We have a very nice and comfortable home in an attractive and prestigious neighbourhood in the city of Mississauga, approximately 20 km West of Toronto. You will feel like you are in a resort.
Our house is a two story detached home and consists of 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs. On the main floor there is a living room, study and kitchen with dining room. There is a washroom on the landing leading to the basement. In the basement there is a TV room with a wide-screen TV and treadmill as well as laundry room. Another wide-screen TV is in one of the bedrooms upstairs.
For film lovers - we have a media box with 1000 movies/tv series that you can watch at your convenience. We also have subscription to Netflix and Prime TV.
Outside, in the back yard, we have a nice wooden deck that surrounds a saltwater heated swimming pool and a small, well maintained, landscaped garden.
We also have a garage and 4 bicycles.
We really love our home and our backyard – sometimes is just so nice to relax by the pool …

About the neighborhood
In the Clarkson and Port Credit villages (5 min by car) is possible to find fine supplies of gourmet foods: there are bakers, butchers etc. as well as good supermarkets. For everyday needs there is a local supermarket, butcher, pastry shop etc. (10 min walking distance) at a nearby shopping plaza. There are also 3 restaurants within walking distance.
If your preference is to not drive, there is a train service leaving for Toronto every 30 minutes. There also frequent trains to Niagara Falls.
We have 4 bikes and from our home it is easy to access the waterfront trail https://waterfronttrail.org/the-trail/
It is possible to bike from our home to Toronto and ,if you don't feel like biking back you can always put bikes on a go train on your way back https://waterfronttrail.org/trip-ideas/trail-to-go/
There are two beautiful parks on the shores of lake Ontario within 5 – 10 minutes walking distance from our home. In one of these parks I saw two deer last summer! You can also enjoy lovely walks through Ratray Marsh, a must-see for avid birdwatchers.. In our neighborhood you will see many people walking their dogs, as well as many joggers. Bike riding is also popular. There are nice biking paths close to the lake.
The area is quiet and peaceful but is within easy reach of many tourist areas. It is an ideal location base from which to explore most of Southern Ontario, famous for lakes and beautiful natural scenery. Majestic Niagara Falls and famous vine producers of the Niagara Escarpment are 45 minutes drive to the West. Niagara-on the- lake is a beautiful little town that is worth a visit.

Your exchange partner’s home satisfaction rating is 3.0, based on 1 references.
We planned a non-simultaneous exchange and so the family stayed in our home whilst we were away on a family holiday in Japan. However, we couldn't commit to dates for our trip to Canada for summer 2024 and so we have 'released' the family from any commitment to have us stay at their place. And so we can't comment on their home and its suitability for an exchange. We had good communication together throughout the process and would consider exchanging again in the future.

We came back to Intervac after the break of several years and are glad we are back.
Our main interest this coming summer is to visit North Italy or big cities such as Berlin, Barcelona, Madrid. We prefer to exchange with families who live in the city centre or with excellent connection to the centre.
My husband work is in architecture and I am a psychiatrist. Our daughter is 30 and will not travel with us. She and my husband both sing and play guitar. Dragan also teaches karate. We all love skiing.
I play volleyball and run regularly.
We all love reading and watching movies.
If you are going on a few days trip our neighbors will be happy to pick up our mail and newspaper.
We will take care of your house the way we would of ours and expect the same of you. Accidents may happen to anybody – if it happens we would prefer to hear it from you rather than to discover it ourselves later on.
