House in a little village in Emporda (Girona, Catalonia)
House in l'Empordà, in the north of Catalonia, Spain. It is located in a little village surrounded by sunflowers and cornfields, 30min away by car from Girona or Figueres and 15min by car from the beaches of L'Escala, Sant Marti d'Empuries or l'Estartit...
Because it's our second residence, we're open to non-simultaneous exchanges.
Our cats live in Barcelona.
The house is very spacious and sunny and has wonderful views from all around the house.
The dining room has a big table with 6 chairs and, in the living room, you can find a great big sofa bed and a TV.
Upstairs, there are three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed and a balcony, the second one has 2 beds that can become 4 beds, there's one below the other (Brimnes Ikea's bed, if you want to look it up!). The 3rd bedroom includes a sofa bed (king-sized as well).
There's only one bathroom with a shower in the same floor as the bedrooms, but there is another one in the first floor only equipped with a toilet.
Also, there's a washing machine on the first floor and microwave in the kitchen. Unfortunately, we don't own a dishwasher...
There're 5 bikes (all sizes, adult &children), a kayak for 3 and a little skateboard and roller skates.

About the neighborhood
Costa Brava, chosen Best National Destination of 2021, from Blanes to Portbou on the border with France, follow medieval villages and seaside villas that offer us the best of the interior and the Mediterranean coast.
A stretch of rough but peaceful coastline that captivated Dali himself, who had his refuge in Cadaques until the death of his wife, Gala.
Among its villages we mention some such as Calella de Palafrugell, with narrow streets and typical fishermen's villages, the medieval villge of Peratallada, in which the passage of time seems stopped, os Sant Pere Pescador, where you can still feel it the sea atmosphere of yesterday.
Also, between wave and wave, here lie Iberian, Greek and Roman settlements, such as Ullstret or Empuries.
You can also visit well preserved medieval vestigues, such as the Castle of Perelada or the monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes and, of course, some of the most beautiful natural parks in Europe, such as the Medes Islands or Cap de Creus.

We had a wonderful time in the house of Cinta. Not only because it was more than we needed, also because it is well situated for enjoying the area. Cinta is a warm and friendly person who you can trust your house to.
Nous avons apprécié notre séjour à Jaffre, les contacts avec Cinta sont très chaleureux. Le descriptif du logement et de l'environnement sont conformes et la maison très confortable.
Cinta’s home in Jafre is spacefull, bright, well equiped and very clean. The provided guide books were very usefull to discover the wonderfull provincia of Girona, its coasts, landscapes and cities. We forgot are towbar so we coudn’t use the kayak to explore the river or the shores. The village has a very nice bar. We were very welcome and Cinta’s family let us a very good souvenir.
The house was very clean with good air conditioning in the bedrooms. The hosts were very pleasant.

Cinta, an environmental engineer, lives with her two children and loves traveling via house exchange
My name is Cinta, I am divorced and I live with my two children, my daughter Helena who is 18 years old, and Eloi who is 14 years old. I am an engineer by profession and I am dedicated to environmental services.
We believe in the exchange of houses as a way to travel on a budget, and with mutual respect for property.
We all are travel enthusiasts and like to do loads of photos of our trips! Helena loves to post them on Instagram ;) The three of us enjoy travelling all around the world and meeting new cultures!
We love animals, and that's why we extended our family with a cat, and two turtles, which go free through the patio.
