Our house is located in a  lovely, quiet, position at the end of a short lane within the village of Alton.  We have a mixture of wonderful countryside nearby - the Peak District National Park is 20 minutes drive away - and access to Alton Towers theme park & waterpark less than a mile away. With excellent road and train connections we are a great base for a stay in the UK.
Our house is set on three levels with ample accommodation to suit up to 8 people.
We have three large bedrooms and one smaller bedroom on one floor and a further bedroom in the converted loft area which has its own shower room.  We have a large bathroom and an en-suite to the main bedroom on the first floor.
The large kitchen / dining room is a great room  for sitting round the table and talking through the days adventures..
We have wireless internet access throughout the house which you are welcome to use.  We also have Netflix and an XBOX if you run out of things to do outside!
We have a garden at the front of the house which is great for children to play in, with a football goal and a small climbing frame. At the side of our house is a decking area with barbecue.

Our Neighbourhood

Nearest Airport: Manchester/Birmingham/East Midlands - All under 90 minutes drive

Alton is a beautiful village in the English countryside.   The village has a number of pubs, some with restaurants, as well as a local store.  We are also very near to Alton Towers www.altontowers.com - the UK's largest theme park and a great place for the kids to visit.
There is good cycling and walking straight from our house and within 20 minutes drive is some of the most picturesque scenery in the country in the peak district national park.  Take a look at www.peakdistrict.gov.uk/ or www.visitpeakdistrict.com/ .
We have built up a number of bikes over the years and should have one or more to suit you.
There are large number of country homes to visit in the area - Chatsworth House, Ilam, Haddon Hall amongst others.
We are well set for catching the train to London and we are an hours drive or train from Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham and other central English cities.
The area is famous for its pottery.  Wedgwood with its visitor centre www.wedgwoodvisitorcentre.com/ is less than 30 minutes drive away and a number of pottery museums and tours are close by.
We have many guides available to help you make the most of your stay,
